When you gave your life to Christ, you entered into a whole new realm of relationship. You became a vital part of Christ and His body. The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 6:17, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.” You became a brand new person, joined to the Lord with the same life as God Himself!

As a child of God, you have to be conscious of the reality that Christ is in you now, and not in the sweet by-and-by. The word “conscious” used in this context means to have knowledge of, be aware of, recognize and be at home with a fact. It also entails being constantly alert to that fact.

When the Lord Jesus walked the face of this earth, He was a great success and lived a life of absolute mastery! He achieved such

unimaginable feats because He was always conscious of the anointing of God's Spirit resident in Him. It's the anointing that qualified Him as Christ – the Anointed One.

Today, that same Spirit dwells in you and your consciousness of His presence in your life makes you walk in abounding grace, gives you confidence and adds springs to your steps! No wonder the Apostle Paul boldly declared in Romans 8:11, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”

Sadly, a Christian could go through life, unable to enjoy the full benefits that accrue to him if he's not fully aware of Christ and the anointing inherent in him. Don't be that Christian!

You were marked for success and victory the moment you were born again, and Christ in you is your unparalleled advantage in life. His anointing in you empowers you and puts you in charge of situations. He makes you an impregnable fortress, resistant to disease, fear, failure or death; and triumphant in all spheres of life! There's no telling all you can achieve!

Make up your mind to be ever conscious of the anointing of Christ in your life. You'll fulfill God's calling and nothing shall successfully stand against you and prevail. You'll stand tall and stand out, because Christ in you is the hope of ever-increasing glory!
