YOU MUST NOT BE HINDERED
ABSTAIN FROM SIN

As a child of God you’ve been called out of the world. Don’t go back to sin. Sin is the devil’s tool for bringing people into bondage, sickness and death. “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23).

You may ask, “What if I sin?” if you do, God will forgive you, (1John1:9; 1 John 2:1) but don’t deliberately go back to sin. Don’t make a habit of sinning.

Living in sin could bring you back top your former state and even to a worse condition. The man who had been an invalid for 38 years and had been healed by Jesus was commanded emphatically to stop sinning.

Jesus said to the man, “…See, you are well! Stop sinning or something worse may happen to you.” (John 5:14 Amplified Translation). This lets you know that living a life of sin can lead you into a condition even worse than the one you were healed from.

You have been set free from sin; “Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness” (Romans 6:18); therefore do not yield your body to sin any longer. Romans 6:12 says “Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.”
                                             
Do away with every sin and live for Jesus in true holiness. Shunning evil will keep you in divine health. “Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord and depart from evil” (Proverbs 3:7).

By being in the right environment, you can establish your dominion over sin and live a godly life. The Bible instructs in Proverbs 1:10, “If sinners entice thee, consent thou not” and also tells us that “Evil communication corrupts good manners (1 Corinthians15:33
