YOUR FIGHT OF FAITH

BASE YOUR FAITH ON THE WORD OF GOD

“Without faith, it is impossible to please God…” (Hebrews11:6)

What is Faith?

Faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God.

Your faith must be based on the Word of God. You are healed because the Word says so. Sometimes people are asked this question “Are you healed” and they say yes, and then you ask, “How do you know?” then they say “Because I don’t feel the symptoms again. This is a wrong place to put your faith. That person’s faith is in his feelings and not in the Word of God.

It’s just like asking someone who got saved how he knows he is saved. And he says because I feel close to God or I feel holy. What if you wake up the next day and you don’t feel close to God or feel holy. What’s going to happen? Are you going to say, you are no longer saved. No! You are still saved; you are still born again, because the Word of God says so!

Your salvation is based on the Word. You know you are saved because the word says so. Romans 10:9-10 says “But if thou shall confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and shall believe in thy heart that God has raised him from the dead, thou shall be saved. For with the heart man believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” so you declare and proclaim it that you are saved.

You did not wait to see Jesus first before you declared that you are saved. You made confessions of your salvation to people whether you felt saved or not. There were some days, you didn’t really live a good life; maybe you got angry with someone or you even told a lie. But you did not say you are no longer saved. You asked for forgiveness and maintained your relationship with God. You still said you were born again.

You know you are born again because the word says so, not because you feel close to God.

In the same vein, you are healed because the Word says so. The Bible says “…We shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover” (Mark 16:18). So you base your faith on this scripture. You say “Hands were laid on me by Pastor during the healing service so I am healed and I stay healed; I do not relapse back into sickness; Divine health is mine”.

How do you know you are healed? It’s because the Word says so. So what if you go for a test or a check up and the report says “The HIV is still there”, “You tested positive” or “The tumor is still there, growing in your pancreas”, “The cancer cells are multiplying in your blood”, “Your fallopian tubes are still blocked”, “Your BP is still high” “Your genotype is still SS” etc What are you going to do?”.

The question is “Whose report will you believe?” The contradictory sensory report or God’s report? Isaiah 53:1 says “who has believed our report…” The X-ray report says you have TB of the spine but the Word-ray report says “By the stripes of Jesus you were healed” (1 Peter 2:24). The brain scan report says “The tumor has grown larger but the Word-scan report says “And the inhabitants of Zion will not say “I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24). So you choose what you will believe: God’s Word which is eternal and unchangeable or you choose the contradictory reports that say you are sick.

God’s eternal Word is the evidence and proof of your healing. The word declares that you are healed and healthy. That’s the sure foundation to build your faith on.
Base your faith on God’s eternal word. “God is not a man that He should lie; neither the son of man that He should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken and shall he not make it good” (Numbers 23:18)

Right now begin to thank God for your health. Rejoice that health is yours. Declare that you are strong and healthy.

In our next mail, we would be sharing with you on “How not to base your faith on the symptoms of pains or sickness”.
